Preach the gospel every day and sometimes use words.

- St. Francis of Assisi

In 2005, Barry Adkins lost his 18-year-old son,

Kevin, to alcohol poisoning on the day he moved out on his own.

In 2007 Barry put his son’s ashes in his backpack and walked from Gilbert Az. To Kalispell Montana to raise awareness around drug and alcohol prevention and honor his son.

Now Barry is inviting you to be a part of something bigger and join the Million Mile Challenge!

Walk • Run • Hike • Treadmill

every mile becomes a message

See The People Already Walking!

This challenge works anywhere — because loss doesn’t care where you live.

Whether you’re logging miles on a treadmill at midnight or walking your neighborhood at sunrise, you’re part of the mission.

Where Million Mile Challenge Started

The Million Mile Challenge exists for one simple reason:

to raise awareness for the people we’ve lost — and the people still here who are carrying it.

Every mile is a tribute. Every share starts a conversation. Every participant helps turn grief into something that reaches others.

Awareness grows when people show up consistently — and when love becomes visible.
